ASKED & ANSWERED

What is the difference between Ombre powder and microblading ?

Microblading is a manual technique which individual hyper realistic hairs are created. Ombre Powder is performed using a machine creating a soft more makeup finished look.

Does it hurt?

While everyone's pain tolerance varies, many describe it as several hairs being tweezed at once or a minor pinch. Don't stress! Mild discomfort will only last for 10-15 minutes then a numbing gel is used throughout the remainder of procedure. We pride ourselves on using top quality products- Our numbing gel is safe and very effective.

Why do I need a touchup?

Touchups are extremely important. I refer to the touchup as the " perfecting session" . This is our time to see how your body healed, discuss any minor tweaks or enhancements and really perfect the brow. Touchups are meant to be 6-9 weeks post initial treatment.

I don't want them too dark! How do you know what color is right for me?

The color of pigment is chose by the professional and its generally determined based on the color of your existing eyebrow hair. We also take into consideration your skin tone and complexion. Not to worry! At Parlour Brow Studio we believe "less is more!". We tend to be more on the conservative side as we can always deepen your brow at the touchup.

How do you determine the shape?

Every shape is created using the golden ratio, it is tailored specifically to each client and based off the clients facial structure. The golden ratio is proven to create the perfect size and dimensions. We do not use stencils as one size does NOT fit all! All of our clients will be able to view the brow design and approve before the procedure begins.

I have prior permanent makeup, Can I still have Ombre powder or microblading?

Yes, however an in person consultation is required to properly evaluate the right procedure and technique for you.

Can I get Botox/filler/injectables before my appointment?

You must wait 14 days either before or after your scheduled brow appointment. This is very important because if Botox/filler is injected into the skin too soon before or after treatment we can run the risk of disrupting or actually moving the product while doing the brow procedure OR it can create asymmetry in the face until the toxins have settled.

Is it a tattoo?

Yes, Ombre powder, Microblading, Hybrid or Combo brows are all forms of tattooing.

Can you make me perfectly symmetrical?

The answer is 100% NO! Why? Because no one is born perfectly symmetrical. Although we DO strive for absolute perfection many things factor into brow symmetry. One side may have a different growth pattern, scars, you may have a stronger brow muscle on one side of the face (super common!) We are all unique in our own special way and we want to embrace YOU!
